Hands catch the eye and beautiful, well-groomed nails are proof of elegance. But you have a choice: semi-permanent varnish or gel? In this article, your expert nail supplier Maryton will tell you what to choose for nail beauty!
Nails in semi-permanent varnish
It is the intermediate solution between classic varnishes and gels. With a slightly thick structure, it will cover the nails and give them a nice shine. It is simply posed on the natural nails. In general, the operation requires 4 coats: a base, two coats of varnish and a top coat for the finish. Between each step, passing under a UV or LED lamp will catalyze the product to make it harden. The semi-permanent varnish also contributes to the strength of the nails. The main drawback of this solution lies in the treatment of regrowth. Every 2 weeks, the nail technician will have to remove it completely in order to perform a new pose.
Gel nails
The gels are made of a very thick material which is worked as it is applied and which must be frequently catalyzed by means of a UV or LED lamp in order to solidify it. They form a kind of protective shell above the natural nail and give it a very important solidity by isolating it completely from the outside. Once the gel has been applied and the construction has hardened, we will add color using a polish or a brush. The treatment of regrowth doesn’t require removing all of the material, unlike the previous solution. The nail technician will perform a filling every 3 to 4 weeks.
